perfect base for exploring parks and local attractions
i enjoyed my stay as it was easy to get in and out, making it a great spot for my city strolls, and i loved being just a short drive away from the beautiful george washington and jefferson national forest, which offered stunning walking paths and views along with being only a little above 1 km from the essential attractions like the salem museum and the eleanor d. wilson museum. the staff were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that complemented my weekend getaway well but the cleanliness of the facilities, especially the bathroom, could definitely be improved for a better overall experience.

Couple looking for cheap rest
The fridge and microwave in the room were nice touches for a late-night snack after a long drive, although the overall vibe felt like a rundown flop-house.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but given my needs, it was tolerable.

Walking into the room was a bit disconcerting. a noticeable gap around the wall A/C unit gave me a direct sight into the parking lot. The sheets were clean, but the bedspread had a huge stain, which made settling in uncomfortable. I found a bug crawling around—just a harmless beetle, but it's the little things that matter. Flimsy pillows added to my discomfort, with only two on a double bed making sleep less than ideal. Overall, the vibe didn’t match the price tag. I'd say it's more suited for a $40 room rather than hitting the $79 mark.

pet-friendly environment, decent Wi-Fi access, central air heating and cooling systems
A cash deposit requirement feels outdated!!! Rooms could benefit from improved cleanliness standards!!! Some furnishings, like the desk chair, need replacing!!! The appearance of those around the property raises safety concerns!!!

It was just a proper fit for short stay in Roanoke with fantastic value for money. The shower was hot and refreshing after a long day outdoors. Bring your own food since the breakfast is pretty basic.

missingWrote a review on 06 Junfriendly clerkconvenient amenitiesminimal breakfastunsettling areaquestionable cleanliness
The humor of the front-desk clerk made a memorable impression, efficiently communicating the hotel's rules with warmth. The presence of a fridge and microwave in the room added convenience. However, the breakfast selection was minimal, consisting mainly of waffles and bread. Additionally, the area felt unsettling, with numerous questionable individuals around, detracting from the overall comfort of the visit.

So, I was in a Queen Room for 1 night. The bed was comfy, which is definitely a plus after a long day. There was a fridge and microwave, which is handy if you want to heat something up. The room was decent overall, but I've gotta admit, the cleanliness was a bit off. I mean, you could see some stains on the walls and carpets. Not the best place I've stayed, but it did the job for one night.

I loved the fridge and microwave in my room, which made snack time super easy after a long day. The relaxing vibe at the pool and the breakfast options were a nice touch to my stay. The bathroom could've used a bit more cleanliness, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

I had a couple of enjoyable aspects about my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was hot water with good pressure in the shower. it genuinely felt recently updated. The only downside was the fridge didn't work, and there were some issues with the bedding. I doubt I'll stay here again.
